We always go to study after school.  There are many places where we can stay for studying around our home in L.A.  Tenju Tea House is a good place to study for us.

First of all, the environment of Tenju Tea House is comfortable.  There are many cozy sofas for us and customers to sit.  While we are studying our homework, we are listening some relaxing songs there.  Also, we can enjoy air-conditioning at the same time.  In addition, the resources of this tea house are attractive.  We can stay and use the WiFi for a long time.  When we are hungry, we can buy some snacks or special drinks there.  If we feel bored, there are some magazines that we can read.  Finally, the people of this tea house are nice.  The staffs are polite to service us in English, so we have more chance to practice.  They make us and customers feel like returning home.  There are many students studying, so we are affected to study hard under this atmosphere.

To sum it up, a great place for us to study is Tenju Tea House.  If you want to get an appropriate area to study, we recommend this tea house for you.  There are various things can satisfy different people needs.

Touching The Void

      Touching the Void is a cliffhanger movie that's a real story about two mountain climbers, Simon and Joe, who climb up a mountain in Peru. Before they climbed the peak of the mountain, no one had climbed it. Simon and Joe were talented mountain climbers.

      First of all, they made a mirade by climbing the mountain in Peru. They had a lot of experience climbing. That is the reason why they decided to climb the perilous ice mountain in Peru.  Nobody had evern arrived the summit of the mountain before them. They only took three or four days to climb about 3000 feet. Even it Simon was only 25 and Joe was 21. Second, Joe use his spirit and patience to descend the mountain by himself.  In the middle of the course, they did not perpare enough gas and water, so they decided to go back, but Joe broke his leg on the way. In the adversity he was afraid he would die. Finally, Simon is a true friend to save Joe in the dangerous situation. Simon to cut the rope because he thought Joe was died. Although, he still saved Joe's life on the last day, he decided to go back home.

      To sum it up, this is a really good movie to teach me never give it up. If you give up on yourself, nobody can save you. Even this movie was very exciting i will not to climb the mountain.

PCC’s ESL Program is a special program for students who are not native speakers to learn English easily. There are many ways and places we can study English. We have good reasons why we chose PCC’s ESL Program.

              First of all, this program provides the ESL Center for ESL students who need materials to study English. There are some books students can borrow to study and do exercises. Also, there are some CDs or DVDs provided for students to practice with and watch. When you have some problems about studying, you can get help from tutors. In addition, ESL professors are different from regular English professors. They focus deeply on your grammar and sentence structure. They help you patiently when you make mistakes in English. Finally, ESL classmates gather in this program from different countries in order to learn English. During the class, we have many chances to communicate with others and practice orally. They are more hard working than regular students to learn English. It gives you appropriate pressure to directly affect your study attitude.

To Sum it up, PCC’s ESL program has been providing us various resources and the environment to learn English effectively since it was built. There are some reasons why we decide to participate in this program.  If you want to improve your English, It's a perfect program for you to join at PCC.

    Finding good and right ways for learning is most important. The good ways can help you easy to learn and save you more time. There are a few ways I prefer for learning. First of all,  I like auditory style.When you drive, listening music is a good way to improve listening. For example, find a nice song you really like to listen it. Listen more and more time to try to know the lyrics of the song. In addition, I have interpersonal intelligence. Go outside and do not be shy to make friends with others. Finding a person you like to talk with is a good way for speaking. Be an outgoing person and keep to touch with them. When you have any problems or you feel sad, try to talk with friends. they may have a good way to teach you how to solve the problem. Finally, the reflective learners always do the best job.The general people always can make people confuse. They can't understand what we say,after that, they may not like to talk with you. So, when you say something, practice in your mind first, and then correct the grammar mistakes. After this, we can make ours friends easy to understand what we say. To sum it up, auditory, interpersonal and reflective learners are good ways for learning. Try to find the ways that are useful and helpful in your deep mind.

     We know some good ways to study English outside class. There are three most important ways to help us improve English fast and easily. First of all, reading is a good way to make our grammar and vocabulary better and better. Trying to find some books you are interested in and that are appropriate can make you keep reading even if they have some new vocabulary. Also reading the newspaper is a good hobby to practice your reading and grammar. In addition, listening is most useful in your live. For example, watching news and movies without subtitles can push you improve your listening with native speckers. You can listen on the radio and music even if you can’t understand all the meaning. Finally, speaking is the third way to make your English perfect. For instance, joining a study club to make native friends and trying to communicate with them can offer more chances to talk in English . If you are too shy using Facebook, a blog or E-mail is another way to contact friends who use perfect English. To sum it up, we think these three ways are the easiest and fastest to learn English even if you are not in a class. You can attempt to utilize our methods. We suppose you must get better English.

                                                           Learning English

      My first experience learning English was pretty hard. I start learning English when I was in elementary school. I don't like English so English give me a hard time during my childhood. First of all, I have a short memory to remember the vocabulary. When I learning the now word I always forget the other one. Sometimes I will mix up one word with another. That makes me crazy and sad. Also learning new vocabulary is pretty boring. In this way I have no power to keep going to study English. Moreover, everyone knows that learning second language grammar it's very difficult. At beginning I like to translate the English to Chinese.it caused me never understand the meaning of the word in English. Finally,I do not have the language environment in which to speak English. As a language, listening, speaking, reading and writing are essential. However, in normal days, we can not practice listening and speaking skills. We can only use tape and CD to practice. Therefore, this greatly reduces the efficiency of our learning. To sum it up, studying in United States college is a good way to improve our English, but also through daily life and learning, we can achieve a better level of English.
